Research Interests:

The main areas of my interests are to provide new and improved methods for the biochemical analyses of human biological samples. We are constantly working to update and improve the accuracy, precision, and sensitivity of the assays that we perform routinely in our laboratory. As a USDA/ARS Children's Nutrition Research Center (CNRC), we analyze the nutrient contents of mother's milk, infant formulas and standard food preparations and we perform nutritional assessments of premature and mature infants, adolescents, and adults.

We assist CNRC investigators with biochemical analyses of biological samples generated by their various protocols. Modern technology offers new challenges, faster and more precise methodologies that require laboratory managers to review, evaluate, and validate routine laboratory procedures to provide high quality, cost effective, and rapid service to the scientists. My efforts are to coordinate the functions of the core laboratory services to CNRC investigators and active in developing new and more precise test procedures.
